The mission of the faculty is to educate professionals to meet the needs of sport in all educational processes and promote attributes of a healthy lifestyle as a necessary part of a modern lifestyle. The faculty applies and develops knowledge of sports medicine for the needs of sports and sports education, passes on the latest knowledge in the field of regeneration and nutrition in sports as well as in everyday life, prepares qualified specialists for educational activities in social and leisure areas, as well as educates professionals in the field of Sport Management. It also pays special attention to the educational process necessary for the professional activities of security bodies.

School description

A total of 1,276 students are enrolled at the faculty: 866 in Bachelor’s degree programmes, 410 in Master’s degree programmes and 63 in doctoral degree programmes (as of 31 October 2016).

The faculty consists of 8 departments and employs a total of 116 academic and non-academic workers including 6 professors and 9 associate professors.

Instruction is provided by a total of 268 teaching staff including 78 MU employees and 190 external faculty members.

A total of 2,744 applicants for studies were registered in 2016; 736 were subsequently accepted.

A total of 8 disabled students are enrolled at the faculty (2015/2016 academic year).

The number of outgoing students stands at 42, the number of incoming students from abroad is 53 (2015/2016 academic year).

A total of 334 students graduated from the faculty in 2016: 177 from Bachelor’s programmes, 145 from Master’s programmes and 12 from doctoral programmes.

Since 2002, a total of 4,272 students have graduated from the faculty.
